First Night celebrations around the world have become more popular with each passing year. If you've never attended First Night Alexandria, you don't know what you're missing!
- Admission badges (MUST be worn by all adults) are now on sale!
- Buy a badge on this web site through Christmas day (December 25) for $12.
- Buy a badge at a retail outlet (locations will be announced soon) and the price is $15 through Christmas day (December 25).
- From December 26 through December 28 badges will be available on this web site for $17. Web sales will end on December 28.
- Retail badge sales will continue through December 31. The retail price of a badge will be $20.
- One badge will admit you to all venues.
- Children 12 and under are FREE
- Choose from approximately 70 acts on nearly 40 stages.
- There is FREE parking
- FREE shuttle buses are available to all performance venues all evening.
- A map will be posted later in the year!
- Celebrate the dawning of a new year at midnight with a spectacular fireworks display!

FIRST NIGHT HISTORY!
First Night revives the ancient traditions of marking the passage of time in a present day context. It was created by a group of civic-minded artists in Boston as a meaningful alternative to traditional New Year's Eve revelry in 1976. Each year thereafter, other communities began to ask the founding members of First Night Boston for assistance starting their own similar celebration on New Year's Eve.
First Night came to Alexandria in 1994. It's all great fun, affordable, safe and venues are alcohol free.
