December 31, 2011 First Night Finale
The Commonwealth of Virginia changed the law last year and we cannot have fireworks at the George Washington Masonic Memorial. So, while New York drops one ball, we'll be dropping 6,000 in Alexandria! And some of them will win prizes.
When the balls drop, be sure to grab them. Take them home and post a photo of you, your balls and your First Night admission badge on our Facebook page. We've selected a random set of numbers and those postings will win prizes.
The party on the lawn starts at 10:00 pm with tunes from DJ Ray Casino. Be sure you're on the lawn facing the building for the multi-media light show and experience the balls dropping at midnight!
