Many Thanks to Our Volunteer Sponsors!
First Night Alexandria needs YOU to volunteer and help us throw the best family friendly New Year's Eve party in the Washington, DC area! Come with a friend, or volunteer by yourself - either way this is a great way to enjoy one of the best New Year's Eve parties in the region!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for First Night Alexandria! We have reached capacity for volunteers for 2013...except for one project: The First Night Badge Project (see below)!
First Night Badge Project
If you can help us between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on December 31st we can really use your help. We are recruiting a team of up to 25 volunteers to help us assemble the admission badges used later that day. It's fun and you will be rewarded with free admission to all the venues of First Night Alexandria.
First Night volunteers MUST be at least 16 years old, and volunteers under 18 years old MUST have parental/guardian permission.
A free admission badge (volunteers usually serve only half of the evening, so there is plenty of time to enjoy First Night Alexandria), a box dinner, and a special First Night Alexandria Apron that is worn during each shift and then kept as a souvenir by the volunteer.
For all locations on New Years Eve, volunteers will be asked to "sign in" at least one hour before their shift begins at our volunteer headquarters at Durant Recreation Center (1605 Cameron Street, Alexandria 22314). You may do this as early as 4 p.m. and you will receive your free admission badge, a box lunch, and your apron.
Please click here to see the Volunteer Instructions for all shifts.
