Keira Moran

“Keira Moran is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Alexandria. Her passion for writing comes through in her piano driven ballads and pop songs. Andrea McCarren, of WUSA9, said, “Keira has been compared to music industry superstars like Taylor Swift and Colbie Caillat. But she prefers to compose her own path…” As one radio personality said, “Knowing something about [Keira Moran] and watching her work and achieve is one of those things, that frankly, just renews your faith in what is possible.” (Terry D. Kester – WPFW 89.3 Washington D.C.).

In just a year, Keira went from playing her first gig to winning a national songwriting contest, and garnering radio play in Los Angeles, Detroit, D.C., and Sydney. She embarked on a multi-state summer tour while still in high school and has played in Virginia, Maryland, D.C., New Jersey, New York, Florida, and Hawaii. The songs on her debut CD “”Wondergirl”” were described as “Well-constructed, engaging compositions coupled with strong performance and production” (Kerry Leigh).

In addition to writing and performing contemporary songs, Keira wrote the score for the short film, “American Financial” which subsequently won multiple industry awards. More recently, Keira’s song “18” won the CBS/USA Today “18 In America” contest and her song “Wondergirl” was offered a licensing deal with Cat 5 Music Publishing. This summer, she worked alongside Grammy-nominated Producer/Songwriter Graham Edwards who has written for Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, and many more. Edwards said, “[Keira is] an exciting musical talent, and I look forward to seeing her career blossom both as a songwriter and an artist.”

Recently Graham Edwards, seven-time Grammy nominee said of Keira, “An exciting musical talent. I look forward to seeing her career blossom both as a songwriter and an artist.”
